Week Ten, Fall 2024

This week launched the first of the Space Lab shows starting with Symbiosis by Hailey, Ryan, and Grace. I don't know what I was expecting from them but I think they did a really good job blending their work together. It was great to hear them each talk about their work, I feel bad sometimes that I’m not in the studio as much as I’d like to be, to make strong connections with my fellow post baccs so getting to see them open up about their work was really awesome. Keep playing yall. 

I finished the caterpillar this week, almost finished the house fly I started the week previously and started the bodies of the last three bugs. I’m definitely feeling overwhelmed to finish them all for this show, I know they will get done, but it will be cutting it close. Sarah and I talked and decided it will be okay if the space lab show isn't everything we hoped it would be because we have secured the show for another location in January, so we will work as hard as we can on it now, but it up, and get feedback on what can be adjusted before then. I don’t want to push the surfacing so when we install all my work will just be raw bisque, which might be good for me to see.
