The new molds that I printed of my millipede legs turned out well enough that I believe I can use them for the next piece I have in mind. I will have to up the scale of its body because millipede legs are so much smaller in comparison to its body. I also need to make clay before I start that project and hope to do that soon. I didn't have the time I wanted to work on my leech but because I’m building it solid, the time spent away from it feels justified, it needs to be set up before I hollow it out.
The new set of worm earrings turned out really nice. I like how small I was able to get them and that I twisted two together for one earring this time. I have plans to make more soon so I can have a nice restock before the spooky season officially hits.
The rakubique went well! It was fun and got me excited to play with fire again. I really enjoyed the copper and ferric chloride sludge on top of what I think was our studio raku black glaze. I want to do some more testing with better notes. The only thing is that I might really like the way this looks and want it all over a large sculpture so it would definitely fume that kiln.
