Week Five, Fall 2024

• This week the evidence of “newness” I have is the working and failure of the leech project I had stated at the beginning of the semester. I altered the form and hollowed it our but still felt dissatisfied with it. Everything about it felt wrong, maily the size and weight, too large for what I hope the end result to accomplish so I decided to scrap it and pivot to working on something else. 

• I glazed some worm earrings. In an ideal world I would be producing wormy pendens on a weekly basis, to keep up stock in the shops but I dont have the time every week to spend on side hustles.

• Sarah and I had our first conversation about the space lab show. We are very excited about it. There are so many things that we hope will play off each other well and open conversations. We are making all new work for the show but hope to use the space lab duration as an opportunity to document and get feedback for the group to use as a proposal for this work to be shown in another gallery.
