Week Eight, Fall 2024

• This was a crazy week. Things at the foundry crashing and burning. Speed onion stuff both going nowhere fast enough while also making slow progress. A loose timeline is forming but not as quickly as I want. I have to commit to staying on longer then I was hoping, but this is something I want to see happen and be a part of so I am willing, I guess. For now. 

• I interviewed and got the UofL studio assistant job! I’m really excited to be around Lalana and Drew. We are going to be tearing down the soda kiln over there and building a new gas kiln with Ted Neal, which will be a great opportunity for me. I’m fairly certain that this job will open up my schedule a little bit and I will have more time in the studio. And just, in general, be better for my mental health and financial situation. 

• I worked on and hopefully finished the box beetle, and started the Caterpillar and the deer tick. I’m definitely feeling the pressure to get all of them done on time. I know I’ll get it done, I just need to prioritize.
