Week 12, Fall 2024

Install was insane and exciting. Working with Sarah on this exhibition has been the best collaborative experience I’ve had as an artist. We respond and respect each other so well, and are so familiar with each other's work that we were able to build off of every idea we had. I think critique went well, lots of useful things said that we can use for the show in January. 

I am only upset that the turn around is so fast for this show because of the manual labor involved, it definitely is worth seeing the show up and working through the kinks but that much work in a short amount of time made me get sick. I was worried I got a cold or something but I think it was just my body telling me to slow down. I’m really excited to hear more feedback and have debrief conversations about the show.

The deinstall of the wallpaper was not as seamless as we were hoping but not as horrible as it could have been. It took us a few hours and made a mess, but I think it was worth it and we might try a few different things before the next version of the show.
